Days on end

© Oliver Melendez

Set this brain on fire,

It will see to it all of what desire,

To know where it might’ve lead

To see where it could’ve been.

All paths were led astray then

It led here with you.

Since an autumn grace I once knew,

I turned grey as that maple left me a brown day.

Will I leave my past behind now as a leaf would

Blow my mind into an eternal winter of summer’s rain

That loves me and never leave my mind.
